Cynthia Kimball Davis is the master's of interdisciplinary studies (MIS) graduate program director and an assistant professor, in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) at Southern Utah University (SUU). She holds a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas' College of Education's Teaching and Learning Department; and resided in their Career & Technical Postsecondary Education Department.

Dr. Davis also teaches interdisciplinary studies masters courses and has taught in the communication department. She likes to conduct research on heart-based hope communication, culture and leadership, and how to market interdisciplinary studies.

Dr. Davis has also been a university chair, college administrator, director, college business and management training faculty, face-to-face and online faulty, patient educator and advocate, and columnist.

One of her favorite quotes is by Colonel Arthur J. Athens, USMC, (Ret.), Director of the U.S. Naval Academy's Vice Admiral James B.
