In this roundtable, participants are invited to share their thoughts about interdisciplinary STEM courses in higher education: a) maintaining academic depth in combination with an interdisciplinary approach, what do interdisciplinary students gain, b) fostering interdisciplinary interactions and understanding between STEM students, c) articulating and evaluating students’ interdisciplinary learning process and outcomes These three topics will first be discussed by the panel (15 min). Next, participants will be encouraged to add their insights to those of the authors by means of breakout rooms per topic (25 min). In each breakout room topics are discussed resulting in a jamboard, with hands-on actions and solutions per topic. After the breakout session, the three jamboards are discussed with the entire group (20 min).
